Old Faithfull
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this body as a replacement for a highly abused and finally deceased XGM. It is a much better body in many ways. It doesn't burn through batteries for one thing. I usually have 400 ISO film or faster in it and an old Sears 60-300 zoom attached although I have an f2 45mm and an f2.8 28mm prime. It also has a Minolta Motor Drive 1 attached to it. For flash on it I use a Sunpak 433 D THYRISTOR which is TTL dedicated for Minolta cameras. This is the most manual set up that I own, I bought the original XGM and lenses in about 1985 and this body about 4 or 5 years ago. It's all seen quite a bit of use and has been very dependable. For what it is I think it is a great value.

I also own a Canon Elan II E film camera and a Canon 30d digital.
